The room is suitable for 10 people and comes equipped with a 43" LG SMART TV and a Lumens LUM-MS10 4K Video Sound Bar.

The Fitness + Wellness Studio is located on the First Floor, available for hire and perfect or both physical and mental health and fitness activities. Finished with engineered flooring, mirrored walls and speakers, it is available to both residents, members and the general public.

Barkings bar and venue home for live music, arts & culture, private & location hire. Available to hire 7 days a week to promoters, event agencies, location scouts, corporate event facilitators and everyone in between.

To establish what qualifies we ask you to answer a simple set of questions. If your application qualifies, we then take it to our Steering Group for review and approve your business as a Future Enterprise Resident.

Every year we partner with businesses aligned with our core values across Arts & Culture, Health & Wellbeing, Sustainability, Youth Work, Design & Production and other similar industries for an exciting 1-year tenancy agreement at 50% of market rate. In the last 3 years we have worked with seven start-up up businesses and SME’s to give them affordable rental costs as a way to give back to the community and support business growth in the community. Creating spaces for entrepreneurs to flourish and grow is a big part of our mission at MAKE IT and the Future Enterprise scheme is our way of doing just that.

For MAKE IT Barking, we co-designed a Social Value SLA with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, aligning with local economic priorities while reflecting our values in creativity, arts, wellness, and sustainability. We report annually on outcomes including sector support, equality, affordability, education and wellbeing, benefiting both residents and the wider community. Our diverse programming includes workshops, networking, arts and culture events, wellness activities, and business support, delivered in-house and via professional partnerships. To support SMEs needing extra help, we run the ‘Future Enterprise’ scheme, offering subsidized workspace, unlimited facility access, and educational opportunities in exchange for community-focused Social Value contributions like apprenticeships and peer to peer support. To date, these Social Value initiatives have been self-funded. In April 2025, we began establishing a registered charity to expand our capacity, access funding, and enhance these programmes further.
